Patterned knitted tie: blue / red

Our silks come from a family manufacture in Lombardy Knitted ties. Historical knitting machines have been used here since the 1920s - the finish is done by hand. We found the beautiful pattern in the company archive.

The knitted tie

We recommend the classic tie knot for our knitted ties: four-in-hand. Basically, a rather small knot looks particularly advantageous in silk knitting.

The tie in detail

  • Material: 100% silk (silk knit)
  • Color: Dark Blue (Navy) and Red (Rosso)
  • Width: approx. 8 cm
  • Reinforcement made of grosgrain ribbon on the inside
  • Item number: CF-RR32 / 4-2-25

Each knitted tie comes in a beautiful present box; made in Berlin-Neukölln.

Sehr zufrieden

Knitted ties since 1932

At Carlo Fumeo it still rattles and whirrs as it did in 1932, the year the traditional manufactory was founded: the impressive machine park, the traditional work processes, the very finest quality with the highest standards - nothing has changed in the production methods.

Materials and dimensions

We have our knitted ties (100% silk) made in Lombardy on historic circular knitting machines. Depending on the model, the width is approx. 8 - 8.5 cm. Most ties have hand-sewn lace at the front and back. Always reinforced on the back with grosgrain ribbon.

Recommended: plain knitted ties

The revival of the knitted tie

The history of the knitted tie begins in the 1920s. First made of wool, later often made of silk. Our manufacturer near Milan bought its circular knitting machines in Germany at the beginning of the 1930s - and continues to produce the finest knitted ties then and now.
