Handmade: the crocheted handkerchief
It is somewhat difficult to have this fine manual work carried out, because some of the skilful ladies of our manufacturer Calabrese 1924 are already retired. However, we managed to get a few to crochet artful white cotton poplin pocket squares for us at home.
Family factory since 1924
"We are overjoyed that we were able to win the traditional company Calabrese 1924 as a supplier and manufacturer in Naples some time ago. The family manufactory is run in the third and fourth generation by Gaetano and Annalisa Calabrese. It is said that the company founder Don Eugenio Calabrese owned more than 300 ties - even before he opened his first studio. Already in the 1920s, Calabrese produced highly elegant pocket squares with that carefully crocheted colored edge, which has become rare today."
