This goes back to the poem "In Flanders Fields", where the red flowering poppy reminds of the blood shed by those who died in World War I and yet nourishes the hope that life will go on. In other countries poppy simply symbolizes love.

In every flower there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (absolutely not to be compared with products from Far Eastern countries). Plastic is not used here; every boutonnière is built up and not simply put together or glued on. Recipes up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for dyeing the fabric.

Ursprünglich war der Artikel ausverkauft. Man wurde aber gefragt, ob man bei Lieferbarkeit benachrichtigt werden sollte. Das hat dann super geklappt und die Mohnblumen war in Rekordgeschwindigkeit schön verpackt bei mir. Qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Danke!

Hyperrealistic

I have already bought a few boutonnieres from Herr von Welt and I have to say that the poppy is perhaps the most amazing. The petals are very delicate and flutter a little in the wind. I found that strange at first until someone asked me about it. Since then I've known that it's part of it and that it's hyper-realistic. A fine splash of color on the blue jacket.

The boutonnière boxes are made for us in the Neukölln district by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded in 1869 as a hat box manufacturer. High-quality fine cardboard packaging with tradition - in the fifth generation.

The archive

Here, carefully preserved for more than a hundred years, are the historical stamping molds that are still used today. Each buttonhole flower is created by hand. Each boutonnière is a unique piece that should be protected from moisture and rough handling.
