The cornflower on the lapel

In Germany the cornflower has been known as the “Prussian flower” since the 19th century, in Estonia it is even the national flower and in France the Bleuet de France (“Cornflower of France”) is a symbol of the memory of the victims of the war. In addition, the blue flower is a central symbol of romance. Here she symbolizes longing and love as well as the pursuit of the infinite.

To make your boutonnière

In every flower there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (absolutely not to be compared with products from Far Eastern countries). Plastic is not used here; every boutonnière is built up and not simply put together or glued on. Recipes up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for dyeing the fabric.
