Springtime in the buttonhole

The genus Freesia belongs to the tribe Croceae in the subfamily of the Crocoideae within the family of the Iridaceae. This is completely insignificant for your buttonhole, because the beautiful buttonhole flower speaks for itself. A subtle spring greeting - also for the groom at the wedding

For making the boutonnière

In every blossom there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (not to be compared with products from the Far East). Plastic is not used; each flower is built up properly and not simply pinned together or glued on. Recipes that are up to a hundred years old are still used today as the basis for fabric dyeing.

The boutonnière in detail

  • Color: red with a certain tendency towards pink
  • Material: 100% silk
  • Two flowers and a bud: a total of approx. 2.7 cm in diameter, approx. 3 cm in height (this model "grows" a little more upwards than usual as a small bouquet)
  • Handcraft from Germany
  • Each silk boutonnière is unique; minor deviations are possible
  • Delivery with gift box
  • Item number: 034P

Care instructions: Protect the boutonnière from moisture and always store it in the gift box provided. Every box is made for us by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded in 1869 as a hat box manufacturer, made in the Neukölln district.

Boxes from Berlin

The boutonnière boxes are made for us by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded in 1869 as a hat box manufacturer, in the Neukölln district. High-quality fine cardboard boxes with tradition - in the fifth generation.

The archive

Here, carefully preserved for more than a hundred years, are the historical dies that are still used today. Each boutonniere is made by hand. Each boutonnière is unique and should be protected from moisture and rough hands.

The production

Handcraft from Saxony

There is old craftsmanship in every boutonnière - since 1834. Not to be compared with products from the Far East. No plastic. The flower is carefully constructed and not just put together or glued. Old original recipes serve as the basis for silk dyeing.
