Crimson: the silk carnation

Our crimson carnation goes well with a tuxedo (black tie) or tailcoat (white tie). The silk carnation, no matter what size, is often worn with a tuxedo or tailcoat and therefore has a black silk stem that remains almost invisible when it peeks out from behind the lapel.

The buttonhole carnation

There is almost forgotten craftsmanship in every buttonhole (not comparable to products from the Far East). Plastic is not used; every silk flower is carefully assembled and not just pinned together or even glued. Even today, recipes that are up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for fabric coloring.

Superb

Herr von Welt is the only manufacturer of silk buttonhole carnations in the entire world. What more can I say? If they go out of business, we're doomed.

Many thanks! We plan to stay in business for long long years :-)

More info

Boxes from Berlin

The boutonnière boxes are made for us by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded in 1869 as a hat box manufacturer, in the Neukölln district. High-quality fine cardboard boxes with tradition - in the fifth generation.

The archive

Here, carefully preserved for more than a hundred years, are the historical dies that are still used today. Each boutonniere is made by hand. Each boutonnière is unique and should be protected from moisture and rough hands.

The production

Handcraft from Saxony

There is old craftsmanship in every boutonnière - since 1834. Not to be compared with products from the Far East. No plastic. The flower is carefully constructed and not just put together or glued. Old original recipes serve as the basis for silk dyeing.
