Mini bloom for the buttonhole

As always with our buttonhole flowers: hand-dyed silk. Do you actually know the many wonderful names of this flower? Well then: Büschelifriesli (Bern), Fläschnägeli (Appenzell), beautiful Hans (Franconia), Kartheusernelke (Thuringia) and Plusternelke (Northern Germany) - to name just a few. Good to know in case someone asks.

The silk buttonhole

In every flower there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (not in the least comparable to products from Far Eastern countries). Plastic is not used; every flower is built up properly and not simply plugged together or glued on. Recipes up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for dyeing the fabric.

The boutonnière in detail

  • Color: dark red ("rust-red") with white pistils
  • Material: 100% silk
  • Size: approx. 2 cm in diameter, approx. 1.3 cm in height
  • Handmade in Germany | Handcraft from Germany
  • Each silk flower is unique; minor deviations are possible
  • Delivery with a gift box
  • Item number: 059

Care instructions: It is essential to protect from moisture and always store in the gift box provided. Each boutonnière box is made exclusively by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded as a hat box manufacturer in 1869, in the Neukölln district.

Hersteller: Dt. Kunstblume Sebnitz, Neustädter Weg 10, 01855 Sebnitz, Deutschland, deutsche-kunstblume(at)sebnitz(dot)de

Beautiful and elegant.

I love this flower. It looks so stylish on my suit jacket and have received compliments.

Perfect. If you like post it on instagram and tag us - more compliments will follow soon :-) Greetings from Berlin, your humble purveyors of flamboyant silk boutonnières.

More info

Boxes from Berlin

The boutonnière boxes are made for us by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded in 1869 as a hat box manufacturer, in the Neukölln district. High-quality fine cardboard boxes with tradition - in the fifth generation.

The archive

Here, carefully preserved for more than a hundred years, are the historical dies that are still used today. Each boutonniere is made by hand. Each boutonnière is unique and should be protected from moisture and rough hands.

The production

Handcraft from Saxony

There is old craftsmanship in every boutonnière - since 1834. Not to be compared with products from the Far East. No plastic. The flower is carefully constructed and not just put together or glued. Old original recipes serve as the basis for silk dyeing.
