A fragrant, delicate carnation on the buttonhole

During the French Revolution, the red carnation was a symbol of the nobles who were guillotined. Since 1889, the red carnation has also shone as a buttonhole flower for socialism. We have our buttonhole carnation in delicate cream (mother-of-pearl, champagne) made exclusively - in terms of design, a cooperation with Maximilian Mogg's Berlin studio. The stem is wrapped in black silk, so the buttonhole carnation is traditionally worn with a tuxedo and tails. Once it peeps out from behind the lapel, it remains virtually invisible.

The buttonhole carnation and its special features

There is an almost forgotten craftsmanship in every buttonhole (cannot be compared in the least with products from Far Eastern countries). Plastics are not used; every flower is built up properly and not simply plugged together or glued on. Even today, recipes that are up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for fabric coloring.
