Boutonnière - the delicate buttonhole flower
The delicate flower originally comes from the Caucasus and spread across Europe from 1805 starting from the botanical garden in Karlsruhe. Our boutonnière is finely crafted and the delicate color gradient applied by hand to the silk makes it a discreet companion on the lapel of the man. The pistils were also made by hand in Saxony.
The buttonhole - special features
In every flower there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (not to be compared with products from Far Eastern countries). Plastic is not used; each flower is literally built up ("flowered") and not simply put together or glued on. Recipes that are up to a hundred years old are still used today as the basis for fabric dyeing.
