The white carnation on the buttonhole
Hardly to be surpassed in symbolism: white carnations have been a symbol of marriage and love since the Middle Ages. It is therefore the right choice as a boutonnière for the groom to the wedding. Pan Tau, the hero of the TV series of the same name from the 1970s, also wore the white buttonhole, but was not married. The white carnation is traditionally worn with a tuxedo and black tie and therefore has a black stem. If it peeps out from under the lapel, it remains somewhat unnoticed
The white buttonhole carnation - special features
There is an almost forgotten craftsmanship in every buttonhole (cannot be compared in the least with products from Far Eastern countries). Plastic is not used; every flower is built up properly and not simply plugged together or glued on. Even today, recipes that are up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for fabric coloring.

Handcraft from Saxony
There is old craftsmanship in every boutonnière - since 1834. Not to be compared with products from the Far East. No plastic. The flower is carefully constructed and not just put together or glued. Old original recipes serve as the basis for silk dyeing.
