The boutonnière for tailcoats and tuxedos

The white buttonhole with the red border in medium size was specially designed for the British bandleader Alex Mendham. In the portrait you see Alex Mendham with the middle carnation, but this is about the larger, slightly more daring variant. Perfect for the big performance - on stage or at the ball. We are extremely pleased to be able to furnish not only a style icon in vintage tailcoats, but also the whole orchestra.

Herr von Welt are masters of their craft. When it comes to handmade lapel flowers they are without parallel. The very best. Collaborating with them is a dream come true. They really care about attention to detail and have real passion about their tradition. ”- Alex Mendham

The buttonhole for tuxedos and tailcoats

There is an almost forgotten craftsmanship in every buttonhole (cannot be compared in the least with products from Far Eastern countries). Plastic is not used; every flower is built up properly and not simply plugged together or glued on. Recipes up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for dyeing the fabric.

Boxes from Berlin

The boutonnière boxes are made for us by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded in 1869 as a hat box manufacturer, in the Neukölln district. High-quality fine cardboard boxes with tradition - in the fifth generation.

The archive

Here, carefully preserved for more than a hundred years, are the historical dies that are still used today. Each boutonniere is made by hand. Each boutonnière is unique and should be protected from moisture and rough hands.

The production

Handcraft from Saxony

There is old craftsmanship in every boutonnière - since 1834. Not to be compared with products from the Far East. No plastic. The flower is carefully constructed and not just put together or glued. Old original recipes serve as the basis for silk dyeing.
