Boutonnière - the almond blossom on the lapel
A particularly delicate buttonhole in subtle pink and particularly finely crafted pistils. Not only the starched, dyed and punched silk in our boutonnières is made entirely by hand, but also the extremely filigree pistils. This is an art in itself and, in this form, an extinct craft that is only practiced in the Saxon Switzerland. Without machines and without plastic parts.
The buttonhole - with three flowers
In every flower, here there are two and one bud, there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (cannot be compared with products from the Far East). Plastics are not used; each boutonniere is built up individually and not just put together from prefabricated parts or glued on. Incidentally, this is called "blümeln" - an almost extinct craft. Original recipes up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for fabric coloring.

Handcraft from Saxony
