All Ixia species thrive in what are known as winter rain areas. An occasion to point out that our Ixia made of silk, unlike the natural flowers, does not tolerate rain well. Natural starch has been used here and a certain amount of caution is required when handling liquids.
In every blossom (and here there are three) there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (cannot be compared in the least with products from Far Eastern countries). Plastic is not used; every flower is built up properly and not simply plugged together or glued on. Recipes up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for dyeing the fabric.
Care instructions: It is essential to protect the flower from moisture and always store it in the gift box provided. Each boutonnière box is made exclusively by one of the oldest family businesses in Berlin, founded as a hat box manufacturer in 1869, in the Neukölln district.
