The white gardenia as a boutonnière
A nice alternative to the white buttonhole for tails and tuxedos - that is the gardenia. The species are innumerable, but we chose the double blooming one Gardenia jasminoides decided. Other gardenia species are somewhat similar to our silk camellias. Our white camellia is perfect for tuxedos and tails; but also cuts a fine figure in the man's buttonhole on less festive occasions.
Traditional manufacturing
In every silk blossom there is an almost forgotten craftsmanship (not to be compared with products from the Far East). Plastic is not used; Each boutonnière is built up individually and not simply put together or glued on. Recipes up to a hundred years old serve as the basis for dyeing the fabric. Are machines coming, e.g. for punching or embossing, it is a historical device - almost museum-like.
