Ours come from a manufacture in Lombardy Knitted ties made of 100% silk. Historical knitting machines have been used here since the 1920s - the finish is done by hand. Special feature: the pointed V-shape (front and back) and the beautiful color variations of the stripes that we found in old sample books.

The knitted tie

We recommend the classic tie knot for our knitted ties: four-in-hand. Basically, a rather small knot looks particularly advantageous in silk knitting.

Material und Maße

Auf historischen Rundstrickmaschinen lassen wir in der Lombardei unsere Strickkrawatten (100% Seide) fertigen. Je nach Modell liegt die Breite bei ca. 8 - 8,5 cm. Bei den meisten Krawatten mit handgenähter Spitze vorne wie hinten. Rückseitig stets verstärkt durch Ripsband.

Das Revival der Strickkrawatte

Die Geschichte der Strickkrawatte beginnt in den 1920er Jahren. Zunächst aus Wolle, später oft aus Seide. Unser Hersteller nahe Mailand kaufte Anfang der 1930er Jahre seine Rundstrickmaschinen in Deutschland - und fertigt so damals wie heute feinste Strickkrawatten.
